Religious Education and Collective Worship

Religious Education
St Margaret’s School is a Church of England school and due emphasis is placed on the Bible and its Christian teaching. We aim to foster respect for all peoples of all faiths, cultures and races. We try to develop a caring, sensitive attitude in all our children. We provide a daily act of collective worship.  Assembly topics are planned to cover a variety of themes throughout the year.  The nature of this collective worship is wholly or mainly Christian.
RE is taught through class lessons, discussions and assemblies.  We aim to encourage an awareness and understanding of oneself and others.  We draw upon the Bible, religious festivals, the lives of historical and contemporary personalities, children's own experience, moral issues and knowledge of other faiths.
