On Tuesday 19th May 2015 Year 3 went on a school trip to Whetstone Pastures Farm.
When we arrived, we went in a Dutch barn and met farmer Anthony and farmer Sandra. We asked them a lot of questions. Farmer Sandra had knitted a strawberry - all of Year 3 was fascinated.
Then we went on a ride on a trailer to the cows and saw Farmer Jimmy.
We had lots of fun because we went to the milking parlour, grain store and we split up in to 2 groups. One did summer pudding and one went to see the plants.
Finally we went home after such a great day!

On Tuesday 19th May, 2015 we went on a trip to the farm.
First, we met farmer Anthony and farmer Sandra in a Dutch barn.
Next we went on a tailor ride. When we stopped, we saw some cows
The cows were kept by a man called Jimmy.
After that, we saw the cow’s winter house. Anthony said when it’s cold the cows go in and warm up.
Then, we saw where cows were milked it was very interesting. The cows were milked by a machine.

WHEN WE ARRIVED
When we arrived at Whetstone Pastures Farm we sat down in a Dutch barn and the farmers introduced themselves. One was a man named Antony and one was a woman named Sandra. They told us how to keep safe on the farm.
WHEN WE HAD A LOOK AT THE COWS
We had a look at the cows and talked about the different breeds and what the numbers on them mean. The numbers are like passports for cows.
The most popular activity was the barn games because people
did very funny dance moves
