The PTA

What is the PTA?

The PTA is a charitable organisation made up of parents and school staff. The PTA’s primary role is to fundraise for the school but is also involved in organising social events and encourages strong relationships between our school and families.

Fundraising:

The PTA hosts numerous fundraising events throughout each year. This fundraising has directly benefited our children by enabling the purchase of new IT and play equipment, learning resources, reading books, software and much more over the years as well as subsidising school trips.

Social Events:

As part of their fundraising efforts The PTA organise fun social events for everyone to enjoy including:

  • The Christmas Fair

  • Craft evening

  • Quiz nights

  • Film nights

  • Children's Discos

  • The Summer Fair

How can I get involved?

Parents can support the PTA in a number of ways:

  • By attending meetings to plan and organise fundraising events

  • By volunteering their time at larger events to set up or run (as little as half an hour can be a real help).

  • Offering your skills and experience, for example in marketing/ events management/ I.T./ sales/ design…

PTA meetings are held each term at the school with informal planning meetings in between these times. ALL parents are welcome to attend the PTA meetings, the dates and times of which are usually sent out via text message and are also detailed below. New ideas are encouraged and all extra pairs of hands are welcomed, so feel free to offer your support, you will always be appreciated.
