Year 6

Welcome to year 6!

Year 6 is a busy year and we hope you are looking forwards to fulfilling the year 6 motto and becoming , 'the best that you can be'.

Mrs Tomkins is your teacher Monday - Thursday.

Mrs Yeomans is your teacher on Fridays.

Mrs Gaskin works in year 6 throughout the week and Mrs Ibbitson teaches year 6 French on a Thursday afternoon.

I have extremely high expectations of the children I teach and can assure you as parents that your child will be challenged to reach their potential on every level whilst in my class. Year 6 is a special and important year for your children, with a wonderful array of opportunities, new experiences, leadership opportunities, fun, enjoyment, personal challenge and hard work. Year 6 is a year where the shared responsibility of child, parent and school is of paramount importance as we strive together to ensure that your children move on to secondary school as well rounded, motivated and confident young people who really have achieved the highest standards possible and, to quote the year 6 motto, ‘become the best that they can be’. I assure you that I will give your children my very best as a teacher and will expect the very best from the children in return in terms of effort, behaviour and attitude.
