What is the PTA?

The PTA is a charitable organisation made up of parents and school staff. The PTA’s primary role is to fundraise for the school but is also involved in organising social events and encourages strong relationships between our school and families.

Fundraising:

The PTA hosts numerous fundraising events throughout each year and has raised substantial funds which have directly benefited our children. Over recent years the fundraising efforts of the PTA has enabled the purchase of new IT programs, classroom learning resources, reading books, as well as subsidising school trips and much more.

Social Events:

As part of their fundraising efforts The PTA organise fun social events for everyone to enjoy including:

  • The Christmas Fair

  • Children's Discos

  • Film Nights

  • Craft evenings

  • Quiz nights

  • The Summer Fair

How can I get involved?
The PTA are always keen to welcome new parents to the team. Whether you want to pop along to a meeting and find out a bit more or have ideas of your own to share, you can get involved in a number of ways:

  • By attending meetings to plan and organise fundraising events

  • By volunteering your time at larger events to set up or run a stall (as little as half an hour can be a real help).

  • Offering your skills and experience, for example in marketing/ events management/ I.T./ sales/ design…

PTA meetings are usually held each term with informal planning meetings in between these times. ALL parents are welcome to attend the PTA meetings, the dates and times of which are usually sent out via email and are also detailed above. New ideas are encouraged and all extra pairs of hands are welcomed, so feel free to offer your support, you will always be appreciated.
