Mrs Carruthers took 4 of our KS1 children to a New Age Kurling Competition. The team was Lucy Alston, Morgan James, Samuel Friend and Andrew Jenkins. Kirsty Alston who is in year 3 also came along as our Team Coach and helped organise the younger children and help them understand the rules. We had a few practices at school before leaving and really enjoyed ourselves. The children turned out to be natural Kurlers! We won 2 of our matches, narrowly missing out on moving on to the next round.
The children were excellently behaved and showed that they were brilliant sports by cheering on the other teams in the next rounds. Well done team!
